Eye Examinations

This test includes our standard test, plus wide view retinal imaging with the ZEISS Clarus AND an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan. Our Zeiss OCT scan looks beneath the surface of your retina to reveal any issues that would be very hard to detect without this premium technology. Problems can be treated quickly, at very early stages, before they progress. Some of the diseases and conditions easily detected by OCT are: Macular Hole, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Post cataract surgery issues, Glaucoma and diabetic changes. This test is highly recommended for all diabetic patients on a 12 monthly basis. Results of this test can be send to your specialist or GP upon request for their records. This test includes our standard eye test PLUS wide view retinal imaging with the ZEISS Clarus. This is an excellent tool that helps our optometrist get a detailed look at the retina and blood vessels in the back of your eye. It provides a wide view up to 200% larger than a standard retinal camera. It aids to detect early conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and other retinal changes that occur in people with diabetes and may not be seen with a normal eye exam. Cost: $140 – A Medicare rebate is applicable for this exam (between $28.90-$57.70 depending on eligibility which we can process in store for you).

This test involves our standard eye exam, including checking your vision at all distances, as well as a general eye health check. At the end you will get professional advice for vision assistance if required, such as spectacles, contact lenses or sunglasses. Cost: $80 (bulk billed to concession card holders or children). Contact lenses are more comfortable, more affordable and easier to wear than ever before. This exam will include an eye test and assessment of your suitability, recommendation on the best type for your, putting them in and out, and a trial pair. This is an extended service that will assist you if you are a first time wear, or have tried contact lenses before without success. We want you to be totally comfortable , and you can come in as often as you like for 12mths to ensure you have the best vision and comfort. Cost: $150 if not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
